Stockholm Book Fair 2026
The Stockholm Book Fair
The Stockholm Book Fair runs this weekend March 14-15 in the city's Academy of Fine Arts.
The Swedish Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (Svenska Antikvariatföreningen) has organized the fair since 1959 and returns again to the halls of the Academy of Arts in the centre of Stockholm.
"Over time, the fair has developed from being a purely antiquarian fair with old and rare books to becoming a broader meeting place for those who work in the field of 'the physical book'," said a spokesperson. "Rare book dealers are still the core, but among the exhibitors today you can also meet bookbinders, associations, and libraries with a focus on rare books, auction houses for books, and smaller publishers."
This year's talks schedule include:
March 14
1pm: Book collector Erik Waller and his international network, with Anna Lantz
2pm: Women in the Royal Library's personal archives with Ingrid Svensson
3pm: The Academy of Letters Library: from a small book collection to a large special library with Henning Hansen
March 15
12 noon: The Magic Stone - lithography with Birgitta Modigh
1pm: The Vega expedition and its captain
Louis Palander with Harald Hultqvist
The Bookbinders' Association's collection of unique bookbindings commissioned by the Swedish Bookbinders' Association (founded in 1630) will be also be on display.
The fair is free and runs 11am-5pm on March 14, and 11am-4pm on March 15.
