Bonhams will offer Lily Tomlin & Jane Wagner: Wit, Women & The Art of Collecting next month in New York featuring 33 lots of photography and fine art amassed throughout the partnership of actress comedian Lily Tomlin and writer director Jane Wagner.

Among the highlights is a group of works by Diane Arbus (1923–1971) whose work is a particular favorite of Tomlin and Wagner including Courtship, Teenage Couple, Hudson St., 1963 (estimate: $60,000–$90,000), and two photographs by Annie Leibovitz both gifted to Tomlin and Wagner, and depicting Tomlin and each estimated at  $3,000–$5,000,  Lily Tomlin as 'Trudy' (in The Search for Signs of  Intelligent Life in the Universe), 1986 and Lily Tomlin on a Motorcycle (for Vanity Fair), 1986.

In parallel with a live auction on April 8, Bonhams will also present an online sale of Tomlin and  Wagner’s collection dedicated exclusively to  photography March 31–April 9 features work by Irving Penn, Julius Shulman, and Richard Avedon.
